Cerro Gordo Silver Run

We are looking for a group of volunteers to help make this event a success! We are expecting 400 runners who will be participating in a foot race up an 8 mile dirt road, gaining a mile in elevation, and ending up in the heart of Cerro Gordo. Volunteers will be able to camp in the historic mining town of Cerro Gordo, and food will also be provided for those lending a hand!Set Up/Take Down Aid Stations, Food Prep/Service, Parking/Camping control, Pre Race and Post Race are some of the areas where we could use some fantastic volunteers. Setup will begin on Friday May 23rd, with the race taking place on Saturday May 24th, followed by a delicious bbq meal, entertainment, drinks, and more!

The "Last One Standing" is a family fun event that pits drivers of stock and modified 4x4 vehicles against each other and the clock to achieve the lowest time in several challenging off-road courses.

Cerro Gordo Ghost Town

Heading back to Cerro Gordo!! If you havent made the last few trips to Cerro Gordo Ghost town its an absolute blast! We go and volunteer wherever Brent needs a hand in the town. There will be campfire and plenty of dirt roads to travel.I will leave Paso Robles no later than 8am on Friday 8/2. I have stops to make in Ridgecrest and Bishop for work before heading up to Cerro Gordo. We will arrange groups and travel.There are plenty of places to camp up in town. But there are no hook ups, RVs and Trailers are not advised up the hill. There is room at the bottom for them.We will visit the Salt tram station from 1902 that over looks both saline and owens valley. Visit the reward mine that you can drive in, watch the sunrise over death valley from cerro gordo peak and the sunset over mount whitney. These are trips you never forget.

TV Tower Sunset Run

Meet at the TV tower turnoff from 101 highway at 6:45pm.We will head up to first turnout on TV tower at 7pm sharp. Take a short stop at first turnout to wait for anyone last minute, then proceed to towers at end of road during the sunset.Easy trail, no 4wd needed. Come one come all

Rockfront OHV Vehicle Removal

SM4W members will spring into action and recover a broken down 4Runner! that was abandoned over a year ago. This Sunday March 17th @9:45 meet at the Rockfront staging area, we will depart around 10:00am and head to the area of the ranch to recover this vehicle. The plan is to put tires on it and tow it to the entrance. We will load it onto a trailer where it will be towed to an impound yard. EVERYONE can then go for a trail ride on the ranch. If this sounds like an adventure that you would like to do let me know. If for some reason you miss us at the staging area I've included a map to show you where we will be. Note some trails are still closed due to storm damage, but we will be able to have some fun! Bring lunch and snacks. I will have donuts and water. Hope to see you all there!

Figueroa Mountain Day Trip

Garcia Ridge Run

Garcia Ridge time! This Saturday 9/9, meet at the Y at Upper Lopez Canyon and Hi Mountain Road at 9:00 to air down, rolling out at 9:30. I you're coming from the Pozo side we will meet up at the entrance to Garcia Ridge around 10:00.This is a fairly easy trail requiring 4x4, all skill levels welcome. We can stop at the rock garden to play for a bit, there is a bypass for anyone not wanting to try the obstacle. Bring lunch and plenty of water, the weather forecast is showing 90+ degrees. If anyone has some brush loppers we may need to cut back some brush, I will have a pair but many hands make fast work. Looking forward to seeing everyone there

TV Tower Sunset Run

Meet at first turnout on TV Tower Road. It is approximately a 3/4 up the ridge on the Left. We will be on GMRS Radio channel 15-25 for anyone coming. Meet there at 6pm, air down and head up the ridge to the Quarry and Trampoline. The main trail is NOT DIFFICULT. Can easily come with a 2WD minivan. The side trails require 4x4 and possibly lockers. Either way ANYONE CAN COME. All vehicles can make this ride and have a great time with us. Bring some cold weather clothes and snacks!

4th of July Parade & Oceano

For those of you that want to join us at Oceano Beach after the cruise. Be sure to get your day pass FIRST THING IN THE MORNING. If you don’t they will be sold out by the time we arrive. Memorial Day Flag Run

This is our 9th annual Memorial Day cruise! The last few years have been pretty light..So Let's make this one counttt!! We will meet at the fins parking lot at the end of grand as usual, make our way through downtown pismo on highway 1 all the way out to port San Luis. Stopping along the way to regroup and take pictures. We will make our way back towards the beach using the same route for the way back, and cruise all the way out to pole 5. We will address beach closures at that time, but we are hoping to have most of our beach back!! Anyone is welcome just make sure to fly your American flag or pow. Share share share!
